Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of vantagelem's car rental services. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Rental Requirements

To rent a vehicle from vantagelem, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 for certain vehicle types)
• Hold a valid Singapore driving license or international driving permit
• Present valid passport for cross-border rentals
• Provide accurate booking information
• Accept the rental agreement terms

2. Rental Period and Charges

Rental charges apply as follows:

• Daily rates apply for 24-hour periods from collection time
• Monthly packages require minimum 28-day commitment
• Late returns incur additional hourly charges
• Fuel policy: Full-to-full (vehicle returned with same fuel level)
• Security deposit required at collection

3. Insurance and Liability

All rentals include:

• Comprehensive insurance covering Singapore and Peninsular Malaysia
• Collision damage waiver with applicable excess
• Third-party liability coverage
• Driver responsible for excess amount in case of damage
• Personal belongings not covered by rental insurance

4. Prohibited Uses

Vehicles may not be used for:

• Illegal activities or transporting contraband
• Sub-rental or commercial taxi services
• Racing or competitive driving
• Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs
• Exceeding passenger or cargo capacity
• Travel beyond Peninsular Malaysia without prior approval

5. Cross-Border Travel

For Malaysia travel:

• Proper VEP registration and insurance included
• Driver responsible for customs compliance
• Must follow recommended border crossing procedures
• Report any incidents to vantagelem immediately
• Valid passport required for all passengers

6. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance

Renter responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicle before departure and report damage
• Maintain appropriate fluid levels during rental
• Report mechanical issues immediately
• Return vehicle in same condition as received
• Cleaning fees apply for excessive dirt or interior damage

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation terms:

• Cancellations more than 48 hours before: Full refund
• Cancellations 24-48 hours before: 50% charge
• Cancellations less than 24 hours: No refund
• Monthly packages require 14-day cancellation notice
• Refunds processed within 7-10 business days

8. Limitation of Liability

vantagelem's liability is limited to:

• Rental fees paid for the affected rental period
• No liability for indirect or consequential damages
• Not responsible for delays due to traffic, border congestion, or mechanical issues beyond our control
• Force majeure events exempt from liability

9. Dispute Resolution

Resolution process:

• Initial attempt at informal resolution (30 days)
• Mediation if needed
• Jurisdiction: Singapore courts
• Applicable law: Singapore law

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
